Pedigrees Patricia R. James, editor New York Pedigrees is a publication to help link those doing research in New York State together. 38 issues are available with each issue concentrating on a small group of contiguous counties (see charts below). Briefly, each issue contains 100 four generation pedigrees complete with an every-name index, a surname-sounding-given-name index, submitter's list and other unique features. The sum total of all New York Pedigrees issues comprise over 40,000 names in pedigree form. *** Please note that a name found in publication N202, etc. may not necessarily come from a Northwestern County, but only be an ancestor or descendant of someone from that Area.*** *** Also, pedigrees were published with a decided advantage to the submitter. That is, a submitter's chart may have qualified for several different areas and therefore was given the maximum exposure. Thus, a researcher may inadvertently buy the same chart in publications covering two (or more) different areas. Please contact us if you have any questions. *** |
