History of the Town of Paris
Henry C. Rogers, 1881
|
History of the Town of Paris and the Valley of the Sauquoit -
this book's full title - is delightful reading. Its Table of
Contents is found at the back of the book. Of its 29 chapters,
some are as brief as one page; others are lengthy. As expected, the
researcher finds accounts of its settlements, founders, colorful
citizens, churches, schools, etc. Unexpectedly, however, the
researcher will also find chapters on early Masonic history, an unsolved
mystery, and "Old People of Sauquoit" - a list compiled
in 1871. There are a few illustrations and much good historical
material.
