Church History

150 Years of the Presbyterian Church
in Ogdensburg

 Rev. Andrew D. Harsanyi, 1955

The history presented in this booklet is fascinating in both its content and format.  Traditionally, the church has served several denominations:  Baptist, Presbyterian, Episcopalian, Methodist and Universalist.  At the beginning of each year, the church's board determined just how many Sundays each sect would be given.  The pages that follow both show and report which families 'purchased' which pews for the year.  Fully two-thirds of this little volume contains Family Group Records on as many families (which worshipped in the church) as the author could compile at the time of publishing. Amazing!

152 pp., approx. 10” x 6” book.  Original is hard-bound with no index.
