Genealogical
and Historical Societies
Pulaski Historical Society
does have a newsletter although it does not publish genealogical information.
They do, however, try to assist whenever anyone asks questions of family
history.

In December, 2001,
we sent out
surveys asking for the 5 most important research reference books.
Esther Rancher (erase@postoffice.pacbell.net)
responded with her selection:

genealogical research are:
1. Churchill, John C. Landmarks of Oswego County,
New York Syracuse: Mason, 1895
2. "Grips" Historical Souvenir of Mexico, NY
1903
3. Johnson, Crisfield: History of Oswego County, New
York, 1789-1877, Everett & Ferriss, 1878.
4. 1859 Hancock's Oswego Directory of Oswego, NY.

Cemetery and Newspaper Research. From Julie Robst, June 30,
2002:
I am in Oswego County and am very involved in research
here and in a few other counties in New York. I have done actual
inventories (not copies of the information written down 20-30 years ago) of
several cemeteries. At the present time, I have the following: the
Daysville Cemetery in Richland twp (Pulaski), North Boylston in
Boylston twp, South Richland in Pulaski (still know by us 'old
timers' as the Willis Cemetery), McClelland Cemetery in Richland
and the Holmes Family Cemetery in Richland. I have also transcribed
"History of Oswego County, 1789- 1877" published in 1911. Also,
newspaper articles written by Rev. Jesse H. Jones as published in the Pulaski
Democrat from September 12, 1900 to August 6, 1902 and "Local History -
Beginning with Oswego County and Leading up to Pulaski Village" by B.G.
Seamans which was printed in the Pulaski Democrat from January 24, 1923
to May 1923.
Anyone interested in these cemeteries and newspaper
articles may contact Julie at
