10 'Deadly' Sins of
Genealogy |
| Our descendants (and others) would be very thankful
if we avoided the following bad habits! |
|
| 1. Not writing down our
sources. |
|
2. Not sharing our information. |
|
3. Not having copies of records in our possession (such as when
we go to a seminar, etc.) |
|
4. Not enclosing a SASE when corresponding with others.
|
| 5. Not writing Thank You
notes. |
| 6. Not devising a filing
system of some type. |
| 7. Not organizing material
when we go to a library. |
| 8. Not following up on
possible leads. |
| 9. Believing that if we found
it on the internet, it has to be true! |
| 10. Not checking the original
sources for more information and accuracy. |
